One optional extra: the Package Check — $79 + HST
It runs up to 17 automated checks on your finished package before you send it in. The checks look for the known problems that make court staff bounce applications. Run it as often as you like for 12 months. It is software, not a person. It is optional, it is never added unless you tick the box yourself, and your package works fine without it.
Your package is already checked as we build it. The Package Check is a second, separate look, with its own report.

After probate, one report is still owed. We get it ready.

The estate tax is separate from our price
Ontario charges an Estate Administration Tax when you file. That money goes to the court — it never comes to us. A $240,000 estate pays $2,850 to the court. Our free calculator shows your number, and your package includes the worksheet with the math.

We can't help every estate — and we say so before you pay
Some situations are not for software — they belong with a lawyer. The big ones:
- There is no will.
- The will is handwritten, or someone wrote changes on it after it was signed.
- The person applying lives outside Canada.
- Someone inheriting is under 18, or is an adult who cannot manage their own affairs.
- Someone plans to challenge the will, or the family cannot agree.
Our free questions check for all of these before you pay a cent. If we find one, we tell you plainly, explain what kind of help to look for — and you pay nothing. Being honest about this is part of why you can trust the rest.

When you pay, and when you don't

Prices are in Canadian dollars, plus HST/GST based on where you live. For an Ontario buyer, the totals are $224.87 and $507.37. Payment is handled by Stripe, on Stripe's secure page — we never see your card number.
About refunds, plainly: everything before payment is free. After you download, we do not offer automatic refunds — you already have the whole package, and our promise covers fixing our errors free. If you believe something is truly wrong, email support@probateprep.ca and a person will look at it, case by case. Nothing here takes away your rights under Ontario consumer law.

We are self-help software. We are not a law firm, and we do not give legal advice. That is exactly why our prices are software prices, not lawyer prices. You review and confirm every answer, and the forms are the court's own.
